"Herbal Extract" is a concentrated form of liquid, in that a solvent(water or alcohol) is used to extract the active ingredient of that particular herb (herbal/medicinal properties are taken out from that plant material). The word Standardized means that herbal extract contains one or more components present in a specific & guaranteed amount (usually expressed as a percentage). The reason behind the standardization of herbs, is to guarantee that the consumer is getting a right product in which the chemistry & consistency is maintained from batch to batch.
